Mission and Vision

corkOur mission is to remain committed to improving the business climate and profit of all retailers and related industries. Through government affairs, education and the communication we help our members deliver a quality product to the consumer while being at the forefront of ensuring responsible and legal consumption and use.

The Wyoming State Liquor Association (WSLA) is the voice of Wyoming’s licensed beverage industry. WSLA’s approximately 450 members include package liquor stores, bars, restaurants, wholesalers, and other businesses who are united in the purpose of improving the business environment, protecting the industry from harmful laws and regulations, networking and information sharing, and helping each other ensure a positive future for the liquor industry.

The WSLA (until 1979 the Wyoming State Liquor Dealer’s Association) was formed in 1945 “to promote and encourage strict compliance with all laws and official orders relating to the liquor business, including the handling, purchase and sale of alcoholic beverages in the Sate of Wyoming and adopt and enforce among its members rules and regulations for the proper conduct of such business in the state, and to safeguard and protect the legitimate interests of all members of the corporation.”

The WSLA is managed by a 24 person Board of Directors consisting of industry leaders from around Wyoming. All major policy and budget decisions are made through the Board, which contracts with Association and Advocacy Group for the operations of the Association.

Wyoming’s alcohol beverage industry has always been scrutinized, and attacked, from many different directions. The WSLA has been working for almost 60 years to ensure the industry’s continued success through legislative representation, alcohol awareness and education, and mutual support.
